Non NHS Services

We are receiving an increasing number of requests from patients asking GPs to complete forms or write letters on their behalf. 

Please note, this is a non NHS (Private) service which will incur a charge.

Patients should expect to wait at least 6 weeks, sometimes longer if your GP is on holiday.  It also depends on what type of information you are requesting the GP to undertake.

NHS work must take priority and we thank you for your patience.

Some services provided by the practice are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

• Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
• Insurance claim forms
• Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
• Private sick notes
• Vaccination certificates

Your GP may be able to undertake such work for you but, as this is a non-NHS (private) service, you will be charged for this.

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
